NIT Raipur campus life is above average. They have a total of 5 hostels for boys and 3 hostels for girls with all general facilities including mess, reading room, recreation room, sports, etc. The overall capacity of the boy’s hostel is around 1180 and the girl’s hostel is around 403. In the boys and girls hostel, you will find double and triple-seated rooms for all the students. Hostel A, B, D, and F are for first-year students of B.Tech/B.Arch/MCA/M. Tech and Hostel H (Capacity 765) is for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students. The central library is the most important part of NIT Raipur. They have more than 1,00,000 printed books and more than 1.7 lakh e-book collections in the digital library. The timing of the library is 9 AM to 8 PM from Monday to Friday, which is good, but on Saturday it remains open only from 9 AM to 1 PM. The Institute provides basic sports and other general facilities. The departments, hostels, staff residences, and guest house infrastructure of this NIT is quite good, but most of the buildings are based on old architecture.
